“Health is wealth” according to an old adage that speaks volumes of how health is important in progress. This calls for everyone’s attention by saying that in order to achieve dreams, one has to first care for themselves.
Kristel Bauer, the founder of Live Greatly, recognizes the role that good health plays in life and that is why she is on a mission to help people obtain optimal health in mind, body, and spirit to attain success.
With her extensive medical background and history of working in Integrative Psychiatry and Functional Medicine, she has a unique perspective on stress management and integrative approaches for optimal mental health.
Through Live Greatly, Kristel applies her expertise to promote well-being and excellent performance with online courses, speaking services, consulting, and packages tailored to meet the needs of her clients.
Passion & Purpose
Kristel graduated with a Master’s degree as a Physician Assistant from Rosalind Franklin University in 2006. She then practiced in Pediatric Pulmonary for a period of time before transitioning to Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. She then became a stay at home mom for six years and enjoyed the time with her children.
“I decided to reignite my career, which took a lot of courage, after a loved one’s stage four cancer diagnosis awakened a burning desire in me to explore and examine what wellness truly means,” she said.
She then decided to further her education as an Integrative Medicine Fellow via the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona.
After a while, Kristel decided to leave clinical practice and start Live Greatly at the end of 2019 to be able to share her message and insights to a larger audience.
Leading the way
Kristel is also a keynote speaker who also showcases her knowledge and expertise through her podcast series, Live Greatly, where she gets to talk to others about how to make a positive impact on the world.
But, there are other roles that she plays in her mission of promoting excellent health in all aspects.
“I am a consultant, university lecturer, and an adjunct project-based learning facilitator for Feinberg School of Medicine Northwestern University Physician Assistant Program. I am an advocate for employee and student wellness, and I also have online courses to optimize well-being and performance,” she said.
Mind Over Matter
“I am a believer that mindset is everything, and I strive to push past the boundaries of fear to live life fully from a place of love and joy,” the founder of Live Greatly said.
For anyone who wants to live according to Kristel’s lifestyle and beliefs, she says that one should practice self-care, self-love, and building confidence.
“Meditate, exercise, eat well, and take time doing things that bring you joy on a daily basis!” she added.
